It's the Season of Joy

It is that time of the year...life starts getting incredibly crazy. We try to absorb everything around us in one breath...vaguely impossible. But we do need to truly remember the blessings of the season, regardless of the countless distractions. It IS the season of joy. So many of you have been asking me about my newsletter. I do try my best to update my blog and I think that will be more effective than a monthly newsletter. In my blog you will find more frequent updates of my life journey, my inspiration, pieces of my creativity, and the events that show themselves up in my schedule. I know so many of you are not used to coming to visit here, but I really hope that you will all get used to it eventually. My schedule for November is well-booked and I love every bit of it. I just finished teaching my scarf class last Sunday to Coquitlam. I'm going to be doing a card making class in Coquitlam, again, this coming Sunday. We are using a set called Snow Swirled. You can find the samples posted on the left hand sidebar labelled Snow Swirled. Today I posted another 5 samples of Christmas cards from the set: Season of Joy. I've loved this set from the very beginning and I never get tired of it. I did a class with this set, making chocolate nugget box gift sets, last year. I will try to post them next time. I truly hope that during the busiest time of the year you will still have the time to stop and experience moments of true joy.

I did promise you to post some pictures from our store's awards night, but the professional photographer put the pictures on a disk. The pictures on there are of enormous resolution and I couldn't post them out yet. My professional secretary, my dearest daughter Liz, will try to find time and work out how to shrink them enough to put them up. I do have the pictures with me, though, so whoever comes over for classes and clubs, will have a chance to see them. We are all very impressed in how it turned out. Well, I finally have time off today. It's nice to have a cup of coffee without burning my tongue in the rush. Also, staying in my pajamas, enjoying some music, and being annoyed by my kids is surprisingly refreshing. I will be getting myself together again tomorrow to get all my classes ready for the coming weekend. This weekend I have a combination of classes for silk scarves and two different kinds of card classes. I haven't ever done this before; this is the first time with one class and so many things going on at once. I pray and hope that everything will go smoothly and that the ladies will enjoy themselves, being able to get enough help from me as well. I hope that you all have a wonderful long weekend and until next time, be blessed.

P.S. As you all know, I'm taking my December off from teaching and clubs, but orders are still welcome.

Thank you for God's Faithfulness!!

To all my dearest stampers and friends,
Just to let you know, I'm still alive. Sorry for being such a bad blogger and neglecting my blogging duties. Life has been so crazily busy, but God is good. Our family has been experiencing a pretty dynamic change in lifestyle. Jeremy returned to the working field last week. He started working at the new Pricemart in the plaza across Clayton Crossing. This store will open sometime in the middle of December. He is working with management and two other coworkers in preparing for the opening of the store. Every night he's come home covered in dust, but I can feel that he's started to enjoy it. At first, we weren't so sure about this because it's something so completely different from what he was trained for, but since God put him into the new store, he has picked up everything flawlessly from the very beginning. It is a very good learning experience for him and I can see him trying to learn everything humbly. I really appreciate his attitude and I thank God for this miracle. I'm also thankful for my kids who have been faithfully praying for this. Since God answered all our prayers, including yours, they have been trying their best to cope with the hectic schedules, inherited housework, and doing their homework and duties wisely and effectively. I am truly praising the Lord for what He has done in providing for us. The card that I've posted today is the one that I made as a thank-you to each and every one of you for the long journey that you've accompanied me on. Thank you for your love, care, support, and prayers.

Need a little bit of fresh spring feeling!!

I worked today and looked out of the window...it was raining!! I know that we've had lots of nice days and that I shouldn't be complaining but I just miss my flowers.
Garden Whimsy is one of the sets I really love in the catalogue. I just can't get enough of it! I will be teaching the new class using Garden Whimsy. If you would like to get some girl or guy friends together and do some stamping with this neat set, you know how to contact me!!
The class will be 5 cards for $15 and 10 cards for $20!

New Classes

I have a lot of new classes this month as well as next making stationary sets, silk scarf gift sets, friendship cards, and Christmas cards. Believe it or not, Christmas is just around the corner. I don't know about you, but I'm totally unprepared for its arrival. You can view various samples for these classes on the blog, all except the silk scarves. The upcoming class is on Monday, October the 27th at my studio and it will be for the friendship cards. I still have a couple spots open. If you are interested in attending, please contact me as soon as possible. The silk scarves class will be in Coquitlam on Sunday, November 2nd. I can still take a couple more people. If you live near me and would like to come to the class please let me know and I am willing to drop by and pick you up. I recently updated my calender and it is on my Stampin' Up website. Feel free to contact me for any of the details. If you're looking into arranging your own set of classes, you will need to book up the dates quickly because my calender is already beginning to look pretty full. As most of you know, I'm taking December off. During that time, you will still be able to put your orders in, but I just won't be running any of the stamping clubs, corp nights, or classes. I will be having two separate parties for my stamping club ladies. We will be having fun games, good food, card swaps, and prizes. I have started accepting new registrations for clubs coming up next year. You can either join a techniques group, stamping group, or scrapbook group. When you contact me, please specify which you are interested in. I am working a lot this weekend and will also be preparing for the upcoming classes. It was nice to have spent some quality time with my family tonight. I wish you will all have a wonderful weekend. Whoever has emailed me about their current life situations, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers consistently. May the Lord bless you all. Talk to you soon.
Love,
Angela.

Happy Birthday Michael!!

Today's Michael's birthday. I worked very early this morning so we managed to have the whole afternoon and evening to ourselves. Michael decided that he didn't want to have a birthday party this year, instead, I cooked his favourite dinner for him which was steak, mash pototaes, and Caesar salad. Later on, we went out to play a game at the bowling alley as a family and then came home to have ice cream cake.

My Son is turning 12!!!!!

I still remember when he was just a little baby. They just grow too fast and we can't even stay caught up. He's always as happy as can be. It is nice for his friends to be around him but as a family sometimes it's not fun at all. We appreciate how God made him and he is truly a sweet boy and we trust that God will guide him into becoming a Godly young man.
